The SOC Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Security Operations Centre (SOC) 24x7 incident response capabilities while liaising and collaborating with threat intelligence and vulnerability management, security exposure management, and SIEM/SOAR engineering teams. This individual will play a crucial role in safeguarding our customers digital assets, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our customers systems and data. Additional responsibilities include; Provide leadership and management to the SOC team, ensuring the effective monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents Regularly update key stakeholders on SOC activities and performance metrics Develop, maintain, and review processes to ensure they align with industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and enhance procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the SOC. Execute ongoing, operational business-as-usual (BAU) tasks to meet management-defined KPIs and SLAs. Deliver security projects in line with management-defined priorities and deadlines, ensuring timely and successful project completion. Serve as a point of escalation for Level 1,2 & 3 SOC security analysts in support of information security investigations. Provide expert guidance and oversight on incident resolution and containment techniques, ensuring effective and efficient incident management. Mentor security analysts on risk management, information security controls, incident analysis, incident response, SIEM monitoring, and other operational tasks. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the SOC team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest tools, techniques, and procedures Have extensive knowledge of SOC operations, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security exposure management. Proven ability to implement and oversee comprehensive security strategies. Have relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable, reflecting a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices. Are collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and without supervision. Capable of taking initiative and driving projects to successful completion. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
