Job Summary Canlan is currently looking for a customer service focused Host to join our team. The Host is the forefront of the restaurant, and one of the busiest areas, so if you are looking to work in a dynamic environment - we look forward to hearing from you Responsibilities Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile & eye contact Make/coordinate reservations for guests Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide excellent service Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas Maintain a waitlist and provide accurate wait times Perform opening and closing duties Other administrative duties relating to the restaurant Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Experience: Previous restaurant experience is preferred, although not required Enthusiastic and welcoming personality; a natural leader Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills Positive attitude and professional demeanour Strong sense of teamwork Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure Open availability, including weekends NOTE: Only those applicants under consideration will be contacted.
