The Role This dynamic position combines office-based software engineering with on-site commissioning and support. You'll work closely with diverse teams to integrate devices, ensure seamless project delivery, and support innovative smart building solutions. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery: Collaborate with project engineers to design and integrate BMS/MSI software solutions. Identify potential design risks and mitigate them through workshops and design reviews. Support commissioning teams during factory testing and on-site implementation. Deliver projects to a high technical standard, ensuring any design changes are flagged for contractual variations.Commercial Awareness: Work efficiently within project budgets and timelines to maximize profitability. Assist project managers in identifying additional work and claiming appropriate costs. Submit weekly timesheets for accurate job-costing.Team Collaboration: Partner with project managers, engineers, and other departments to deliver integrated solutions. Mentor and support junior engineers in technical and non-technical aspects. Contribute to a collaborative, positive work environment. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Distech, Tridium, and Delta. Experience with integration protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and MQTT. Familiarity with software communication between control systems and third-party applications. Ability to interpret technical documents, including schematics and operation descriptions. Relevant technical qualifications and certifications (e.g., Tridium or Schneider). Basic understanding of IT networks, cloud IoT protocols, and smart building concepts.
