What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a Financial Planner to join our team in Nottingham. The team provides Financial Planning advice to a combination of our own private clients and integrated wealth management clients. We are looking for someone who is keen to play a significant contribution to the growth of this integrated Wealth Management environment.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the development and subsequent management of a financial planning client base. You will lead business development activities, aligned to the group strategy and work to exceed targets. You will have a comprehensive understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and will have built knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios.
What will you do?
* You will proactively network both internally and externally to develop new client opportunities where possible, as well as foster existing client relationships.
* Produce financial planning solutions to meet clients’ needs and deliver ongoing monitoring and review, making changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of the products recommended.
* Involvement with development and communication of rationale for business decisions at operational and/or strategic level, with the ability to communicate this clearly to others.
* Keep abreast of the legislative and regulatory landscape and anticipates how the team/office may be affected and influence changes in working practices.
* Make smart decisions by considering the impact at operational and strategic level and bring these to fruition.
* Meet and work to exceed targets for business growth.
* Be a consistently strong revenue performer.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* Attained CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or equivalent.
* You will have maintained SPS in line with professional body requirements.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of Financial Planning and client advice, including complex and higher risk advice areas.
* You will meet FCA qualification and RBC Brewin Dolphin internal requirements for authorisation to provide advice in complex and specialist areas and maintaining knowledge in these areas through CPD.
* Possess an In-depth understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements.
* Effective influencer and collaborative team member.
Nice-to-have
* Experience resolving conflicts within a team, including situations referred by colleagues.
