At JDR Cable Systems, we are expanding our operations at Cambois, Blyth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Power Systems Lead to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining Electrical Safety
* Create a robust Health & Safety culture within the department, adhering to company and legislative procedures and standards
2. Electrical Maintenance Program Management
* Manage electrical maintenance programs for all electrical systems on site, including ATEX areas
3. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
* Create and manage the site energy program to achieve reporting and reduction targets
4. Engineering Standards and Competency Development
* Review, develop, and maintain electrical engineering standards for electrical systems and equipment across various assets
* Develop and deliver competency and skills guidance for employees managing electrical systems and equipment
5. Relationship Building and Departmental Efficiency
* Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and teamwork
6. IT System Management
* Upkeep of the computerised maintenance management system, creating assets, modifying task lists, adding parts, vendors, or removing as required
7. Contract Management
* Setup, management, renewals, and contractor management
The ideal candidate will hold a degree or professional qualification in an applicable engineering discipline. They will also have proven experience analysing and interpreting data from relevant systems to minimise repeat faults or improve maintenance standards. In addition, knowledge of regulatory requirements is essential for this role.
A strong background in HV/LV infrastructure is required, along with a thorough understanding of safe systems of work, risk management, and management of change. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also essential.
Knowledge of installation and commissioning of building MEP services, DSEAR, ATEX, and standard operating procedure creation and risk assessment would be desirable.
