You will join an existing team of core technicians and will be required to contribute to the provision of an effective and efficient technical service for staff and students within the Institute of Life Course and Medical Science, based in the William Henry Duncan building. This role will involve the operation and maintenance of research apparatus, and equipment, assisting with research projects, and general laboratory housekeeping. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of technical support within the team and should have suitable knowledge and practical experience of working in a biological research laboratory environment. This role will provide ample opportunity to learn and develop new skills. You should have a BTEC National Level (or equivalent) or significant relevant laboratory experience.
