Main duties of the job
1. Working closely with the Clinical systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) clinical coordination team, with the provision of all systemic anti-cancer therapies across cancer care.
2. Providing administrative support and signposting to the clinical teams.
3. Communicate effectively with all those involved in the SACT pathway to ensure that SACT treatments are available at the scheduled time and that patients have the best possible experience.
4. A point of contact for patients and/or representatives regarding the preparation of their intravenous treatment.
5. Supervise the homecare administrator allocating work as required.

Person specification
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* Training and experience in administrative roles to vocational level 3 or equivalent
* Good knowledge across a range of administrative work procedures including non-routine elements to Diploma level 4 or equivalent
* Good grounding in medical terminology
* Relevant experience in an NHS setting with a wide breadth of speciality knowledge
* Experience of working in a pathway coordination/navigation role or similar
* Proficient in the use of all hospital computerised patient systems
* Experience of working in a patient or customer facing role with ability to establish rapport
* Service improvement training
* Experience of working in an operational environment
* Knowledge and understanding of cancer pathways
* Knowledge of relevant cancer treatments, interventions and terminology
