Customer Service Manager - Flexographic Industry

My friendly, expanding client has created a new role of Customer Service Manager to join their successful Derby-based manufacturing business. They are a fast-paced FMCG company, and the role will be busy and challenging.
Overall Purpose:
Overseeing the smooth operation within Customer Services. Responsible for both customer and team questions, resolving problems, setting team goals, monitoring progress, onboarding, and training staff members.
You will have your own portfolio of customers, providing and promoting a professional high-quality, customer-focused service. This encompasses liaison with sales and customers; the input of technical and detailed orders for our production and manufacturing teams; and liaising with production and office administration teams.
We are looking for a proactive, professionally presented person, who wants to be part of a growing organization and understands the challenging relationships with stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Manage the team, answering questions and resolving problems, setting team goals, monitoring progress, onboarding, and training team members.
2. Create good working relationships with colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders.
3. Constantly review standards and working practices to achieve and exceed targets.
4. Validate and process customer orders using purpose-built ERP Software.
5. Record accurate information and determine the required course of action.
6. Provide up-to-date accurate stock figures and other progress information as required.
7. Contribute towards improving customer service standards by highlighting issues and offering solutions.
8. Identify opportunities to improve operational performance.
9. Mentor, train, and coach team members and colleagues to enhance performance and deliver future talent.
10. Create and implement policies and procedures in dealing with customers or clients.
11. Ensure online documents and paperwork are accurately filed/stored, maintaining a tidy office environment.
12. Prioritize workload in line with production requirements.
13. Communicate with relevant parties the status of any ongoing work.
14. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
15. Undertake specialized training when required.
16. Complete ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
17. Maintain and manage a busy email inbox.
Skills and Experience:
1. A background in a similar level Customer Service / Administration based role within the flexographic industry.
2. IT competency, particularly Word and Excel skills.
3. Confident and proactive.
4. Accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Strong organizational skills.
6. An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
7. An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Professional, highly organized, articulate, self-motivated, team player, customer-facing.
