Your hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 with a remuneration ranging between £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience plus other benefits to be discussed at interview. Location of work is at their manufacturing facilities in Nottinghamshire, which has easy and direct access from West Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a manufacturing environment and possess technical competence and commercial insight. They should have an aptitude for effective communication, motivating, planning, and delivering on agreed Company objectives, able to work independently and contribute as a key member of our management team. The position would suit someone used to running factory teams of 15 – 20 employees.
As their Production Manager, you'll be reporting to the Chief Executive and other Senior Management. You will take responsibility for the manufacture, engineering maintenance, planning, and management of all production functions to ensure that orders are executed correctly and delivered on time in accordance with specification and quality requirements.
The ideal Production Manager will have:
1. Essential criteria: Soft Skills
o A great team player with a positive approach and a commercial outlook.
o Strong people and time management skills (Collaborative approach).
o Excellent communication skills with management and factory team.
o Track record of successful “hands-on” Production Management.
o High competence in Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or comparable).
o Excellent organisational, project management and communication skills.
2. Essential criteria: Technical Skills
o Engineering-based qualification or experience.
o Experience of working in a Production/Manufacturing environment.
o A competent understanding of engineering and workshop machinery.
o Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing documentation.
o Competent with the workings of a Production PLC.
o Good understanding of financial performance and KPIs.
3. Desirable Criteria
o Experience of working for demanding and critical industry sectors, such as Oil and Gas/Power.
o Understanding of CAD Drawings and Software.
o NEBOSH and/or comparable Managing Safety experience.
o Understanding of safe working practices, RAMS and Permit Works etc.
