The post holder has a key leadership and management role at senior level and carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, and the setting of standards of care within the in-patient theatres(Scrub)Ensuring as an expert practitioner in the peri-operative setting high standards of care that meet with best practice are implemented. He / she also carry continuing responsibility for the management of theatres. Including the specific responsibility relating to relevant budgets, resources and manpower. Ensuring that staff in their area have access to education, training and up-date clinical skills as appropriate, in association with the Directorates training co-ordinator. They must also ensure that their staff have access to equipment training and implement clinical governance issues in association with the departments clinical governance lead. Post holders will be expected to participate fully in their personal development and review process, in order to achieve the skills required to deliver the role effectively and efficiently.
