Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.15pm (1 hour lunch).
Weekly & Monthly payroll - duties will include but not limited to:
1. Prepare and run weekly and monthly payrolls.
2. Ensure all necessary returns are made to HMRC within the deadlines.
3. Preparing and posting journals in the accounting software system.
4. Check the payroll information supplied by managers.
5. Answer payroll queries for employees as required.
6. Ad-hoc duties.
7. Ensure that employees of the company are legally entitled to work for the company and correctly set up.
8. Prepare national statistics forms on a monthly basis.
9. Provide information for the year end audit.
10. Ensuring that payments due to HMRC are made within the deadlines.
11. Monitoring and calculating SMP/SAP/SSP.
12. Preparation of BACS runs and processing of the same.
13. Raising cheques where required.
14. Monitoring and calculating holiday pay.
15. Processing of bonuses and other one-off payments.
16. Processing the quarterly BACS dividend payments.
17. Ensuring that relevant payroll deductions are made e.g., Pensions, CSA, BUPA, etc.
18. Ensuring that the correct amount of tax and national insurance is deducted from all individuals.
19. Provide assistance to the accounts department as required.
20. Overtime may be necessary on occasion in order to meet processing deadlines.
21. Scanning and accurately attaching relevant documents to the payroll/HR records.
Must have experience in Earnie Payroll.
