We are looking for a friendly, organised and efficient individual for an exciting new role based at Rheged in Penrith. Our new Meetings and Events Sales Assistant will be focusing on sales and events planning with associated admin and reporting for the meetings and events strand in line with set budgets. You will play a key role in effectively communicating event information to the operational team to ensure smooth delivery and provide occasional support when required. This role is fast paced and hands on so if you are an excellent team player apply now This role will also include: Processing meeting and event enquiries, conducting show-rounds, providing quotes, securing contracts and consistently offering excellent customer service to build strong customer relationships. Support the Sales and Programming Manager to maximise sales and meet budgets through good management of enquiries and event admin, reporting on weekly figures and supporting with the invoicing and payment process. Furthermore conduct research and analysis in line with the marketing and sales strategy. Co-ordinate the weekly event planning meeting providing effective handover of operational event information, having ensured that final chases have been made 1 to 2 weeks prior to each event to obtain accurate and up to date information. Offer the very best customer experience from enquiry to the day of the meeting through close collaboration with the meeting host and operational team, sharing customer feedback to highlight areas of improvement and areas of opportunity. About You To be successful in this role, you must have: Good customer service, and communication skills. Attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong numeracy skills and a good understanding of sales figures. Good time management and flexibility. IT literate and competent with new systems and Microsoft Office Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Previous experience working in a tourism, leisure or hospitality environment or a relevant qualification would be an advantage.
