Job Title: Technician Start date: January 2025 Reporting To: Chief Technician Salary Range £26,000 commensurate with experience. Note: Applicants must have appropriate permits and visas to work in the UK. The successful candidate will be asked to complete an AccessNI check Job Role & Key Responsibilities: Carry out testing duties in our current range of tests and future testing endeavours Preparation of customer samples for testing Identification and installation of relevant test fixtures, equipment and instrumentation Ensuring tests are setup correctly and are ready to conduct testing when scheduled Follow appropriate test procedures and fill in documentation as required to comply with our Quality System Populate standard report information Ensure safe working practices, guidelines and procedures are followed and ensure the use of correct PPE Carry out infrastructure tasks to help in company expansions Pitch in to ensure company goals are achieved Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to develop them in the role and help the company continue our business growth. Our team consists of an electrician and a fabricator who can be shadowed. We also have developed skills in pneumatic, hydraulic and water installation. The candidate can also propose training they feel will be mutually beneficial. Relevant Knowledge and Experience Desirable Attributes Able to follow oral and written instructions and interpret technical instructions Good communication skills able to update the team on progress and recognise early that deadlines will not be achieved Able to learn new information and new skills (fabrication, welding, electrical pneumatic, hydraulic and water installation) Maintain confidentiality about customers and our activities Knowledge of MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint) Interest in technical subjects Fabrication, welding or electrical installation experience Fork Lift Licence training can be provided Experience in dealing with quality system documentation Problem solving skills and a logical approach Skills: Technician Engineering engineer
