Join Our Team as a Youth and Community Development Support Worker - Early Intervention & Prevention Service!
The Early Intervention & Prevention Service is on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated Youth and Community Development Support Workers to join our team in supporting vibrant youth groups and exciting programs within/across the Wakefield district.
As a valued team member, you will:
1. Work directly with young people to enhance their informal education through the delivery of diverse and engaging programs.
2. Contribute to the provision of high-quality youth work, including group activities, district wide detached outreach, individual support, and residential programs.
3. Play a key role in risk assessment for all activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
4. Prioritise the wellbeing and safety of young people by actively promoting the safeguarding agenda and promptly sharing relevant information with Line Manager/Team Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience working with young people is highly valued.
2. Genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the well-being and development of youth.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
