Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for supporting the Project Lead Engineer to ensure the successful delivery of robustly defined technical solutions.
2. Work from engineers/designers calculations, rough sketches or drawings to produce accurate and structured 3D models and 2D drawings.
3. Visit site as required in order to gain practical experience of installation practices and apply these to improve design effectiveness.
4. Assist and be aware of incoming/outgoing data models & documents to ensure that all changes are identified and the accuracy of drawings/models held on file are updated & maintained whilst also ensuring that data is issued in the correct formats following the right procedures.
5. Enhance own company knowledge by obtaining a brief understanding of the process involved on a project from feasibility through to final completion.
6. Have excellent communication between the department and the wider construction team.
7. Ensure that company standards are adhered to at all times following the correct processes and procedures.
8. Stay up to date with technology and have a good understanding of how it is being used within the industry.
9. Have an understanding of CDM 2015.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
1. HNC / HND in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, civil).
2. Experience with the following software packages: Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and must be able to work independently using the AutoCAD and Revit Software.
3. Mechanical & electrical or structural design experience desired but not essential.
4. Experience in the water/wastewater sector.
5. Highly computer literate.
6. Sound communication and organisation skills as well as an attention to detail.
7. Aware of the latest developments with BIM and modelling in a CDE (common data environment).
