Job Overview We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of financial tasks, from processing payments and invoices to maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires solid knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency with financial software. You will collaborate with different departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and contribute to maintaining the organisation's financial health. Key Responsibilities Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring that invoices and payments are processed promptly. Maintain up-to-date financial records, using accounting software (preferably Sage). Reconcile bank accounts and assist with end-of-month accounting procedures. Generate financial reports and assist in audit preparation as needed. Work alongside team members to optimise workflows and enhance overall efficiency. Address internal and external queries regarding financial transactions and account details. Support the implementation and updates of accounting software as required. Communicate with customers and suppliers, addressing any queries or concerns about accounts. Perform various office and administrative tasks as required to support the department. Experience and Qualifications Previous experience in a financial or administrative capacity is essential. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is highly preferred. Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting practices. Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external contacts. Preferred Qualifications A-levels or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field. At least 2 years of experience working with accounting software (Sage is a requirement).
