Project Manager (Marine/Ports) – 2 Years FTC - Kent, UK - £ Excellent package One of the UK's leading ports is recruiting for a Project Manager to join the team in Kent for a 2 year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the Company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and manage a very exciting multi-million-pound project, along with overseeing other smaller projects. The successful candidate will have responsibility for delivery of a number of projects within scope, time and budget, as well as maintaining and monitoring a comprehensive project plan and outlining key milestones, deliverables and dependencies for each work package. Other key responsibilities will include (but not exhaustive to); Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including work package leads, senior management, contractors, and regulatory bodies, whilst managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating decision-making to ensure project success. Maintain and monitor a comprehensive project plan, outlining key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines for each work package. Ensure effective communication and reporting on project status, risks and issues to the Head of Project Management and other stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making to ensure project success. Identify, assess, and manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies that could impact project delivery, developing mitigation strategies as needed. Monitor project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending enhancements to the project. The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related field, have proven experience in project management (particularly in marine, port or construction projects) and have experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2 or APM. You will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced pressurised operational environment and have excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. You will also have a strong understanding of marine operations, construction, relocation/business change projects, navigation systems and stakeholder management.
