Main purpose of Job: The main part of the role is to coordinate a plan and allocate Cargo via a number of articulated trunk lines into Depots across the UK Domestic network for final mile delivery. Being the Central Hub, this is a time-critical role in ensuring Customer deliveries are achieved on time. Therefore, high quality and attention to detail is required.
Key Tasks:
* Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners, and internal departments via e-mail/telephone.
* Responsible for allocating and planning up to 15 trunks per night.
* Utilisation of pallet networks or parcel carriers for support “On Time” flow of Cargo.
* Leasing with colleagues around the UK to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach.
* Communicating with agreed hauliers ensuring company policy is adhered to.
* Pro-active approach to sourcing capacity for the timely movement of freight.
* Provision of PODs to meet customer requirements where necessary.
* Provide KPI and reports internally where required.
* Resolve Credit Management Queries where necessary.
* General Day to Day administrative duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
* An understanding of regulations regarding the movement of hazardous goods is highly desirable.
* High attention to detail and possess a good understanding of internal Customers and supply chain.
* Excellent Customer Service & communication skills.
* Be able to remain calm and focused under pressure.
* Previous experience and evidence of performing to a high level in a similar role.
