As a thriving Acute Medicine team, we are looking for a part time (Mon, Tues/Thurs & Fri) Highly Specialist Physiotherapist Team Leader to co-lead our service across Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals. Covering a variety of specialties; Medicine for Older People, Oncology, Renal, Gastroenterology, all your knowledge and skills will be put to the test each day.

Main duties of the job
The Highly Specialist Physiotherapist Team Leader for the Acute Medicine Therapy Team provides day-to-day management of the staff within the team at PCH and Stamford John van Geest, overseeing the operational performance of and appropriate use of resources. The Acute Medicine service covers a significant number of ward areas within the hospital cross, general medicine, haematology & oncology, endocrinology, renal, respiratory Medicine and Medicine for Older people wards. The service is focussed on providing quality, timely functional and rehabilitative interventions and facilitating safe and effective discharges in a time pressured and demanding environment and working within recognised national standards.
In addition to the managerial responsibilities, the post holder will work using an enhanced level of clinical practice applying specialist knowledge and skills in the field of acute medicine. They will assess and treat a specialist complex caseload of patients with the primary intention of supporting a discharge from the hospital.
The post holder will contribute to service development to deliver on best practice evidence-based care in line with trust and national priorities in collaboration with the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist & physiotherapist.

Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registered
* Evidence of CPD (portfolio)
* Evidence of post graduate training/qualification relevant to clinical area
* Evidence of leadership or management training
* CSP member
Experience
* NHS experience working at senior level
* Worked within acute inpatient hospital environment
* Worked within field of acute medicine and medicine for older people including respiratory care
* Multi-Disciplinary team working
* Operational management of registered and unregistered staff
* Demonstrate active involvement in the audit process
* Awareness of change management principles
* Undertaking Annual Appraisals
