School Science Technician
37 hours per week, plus 5 additional days, Term Time only

We have an exciting opportunity for a School Science Technician to join our team. As a Science Technician you will provide practical and technical support to teachers delivering the Science curriculum, preparing and maintaining resources to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students. You will provide advice and guidance ensuring that COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times. This role will give you practical experience working with both students and teachers in a committed and friendly department.
The role will require you to order and maintain a stock inventory, clean and remove science apparatus at the end of lessons.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who:
1. Has a minimum of A-Level Science or equivalent qualifications
2. Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent
3. COSHH/CLEAPSS and other relevant Health and Safety qualification
4. Has the ability to communicate effectively
5. Good organisational planning skills including prioritising tasks
6. Is able to work as part of a team and be flexible to the needs and priorities of the school
7. Is proficient with IT
