About the Role:
EG Group is seeking an experienced Master Data Manager to join our Transactional Finance Function. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Master Data team in executing daily, weekly, and monthly duties, providing support to finance and operational teams by maintaining master data within SAP, processing daily requests, and ensuring proper procedures and controls are followed. This fast-paced, forward-thinking position is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career in finance within a successful, expanding corporate enterprise. The successful candidate will be mentored and developed in their role and must use initiative to solve problems and meet deadlines.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Managing and leading a small team of specialists, providing training on proper data management where needed.
2. Providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management to team members, ensuring cross-training within the team.
3. Defining master data processes, models, and hierarchies to support business requirements, ensuring data quality and integrity.
4. Developing, managing, and reporting on SLAs for change/set-up requests in SAP.
5. Leading the implementation and management of MDM processes and other quality tools.
6. Extracting data from SAP and SaaS systems, ensuring data standards and structures are complete and consistent.
7. Monitoring and analysing data quality metrics and KPIs related to master data.
8. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with master data management.
9. Presenting regular updates to the leadership team and working with stakeholders to align data practices with business objectives.
10. Ensuring process and system controls are developed, maintained, and reported on.
11. Preventing bad or outdated data from entering ERP systems.

What we’re looking for:
1. Obtained or working towards finance/accounting qualifications and/or relevant experience in a financial setting.
2. 3+ years of proven management/leadership experience with upskilling employees.
3. Experience working in a fast-paced, transactional environment (Essential).
4. Proficient in Excel.
5. Project management skills (Desirable).
6. Skilled in extracting large datasets, analysing transactions, and understanding processes.
7. Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Results-driven with a proven track record of delivering against KPIs and SLAs.
9. Experience in stakeholder management.
10. Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills, capable of cross-functional collaboration to drive change and achieve common goals.
11. Well-organised with the ability to manage time and workload effectively.
