A well-established food company based in the Pontefract area is looking for an experienced electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join the business, with fantastic opportunities to progress. The successful Senior Engineer will be responsible for: To attend reactive maintenance problems and repair breakdowns in a safe, permanent and controlled manner, to the standard expected within a food environment Ability to read electrical drawings and fault find on 415v 3 phase circuits/240v single phase and 24v control circuits Reactive/Breakdown maintenance - Due to the nature of the business the work loads are split between breakdown maintenance (and covering production) 50%, planned preventative maintenance 30% and project work 20%. We would love to see your CV if you are a Maintenance Engineer with the following: Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering). A proven track record in an engineering and fault-finding role gained from a FMCG environment (ideally the food industry). A good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification (17th or 18th edition wiring regulations). Has excellent analytical, planning & organising skills Awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within engineering field Ability to work well under pressure and assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly. The salary is advertised £38,500. As Maintenance Engineer you will be working a Monday to Friday days only, 6am – 3pm.
