If this sounds like the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you Job Description Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook high-quality meals for students, staff, and hospitality events Assist in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene Work as part of a 15-strong kitchen team in a fast-paced school catering environment Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and food innovation Maintain stock control, ensuring minimal waste and efficient ordering Uphold health & safety and food hygiene regulations, following all compliance procedures Take ownership of a designated section, ensuring consistent quality and presentation Help train and support junior chefs, fostering a strong team environment Qualifications Professional Culinary Qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent) Food Safety & Hygiene Certification (Level 2 or higher) Experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen Knowledge of health & safety regulations and allergen awareness Strong understanding of fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality food preparation Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Passion for learning and developing new skills in a professional kitchen setting Additional Information Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges.
