The Oak Cancer Centre (a new, state-of-the-art treatment and research facility) opened in June 2023 in Sutton which will speed up the translation of world-leading research into breakthroughs in treatment and care, transforming the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.The hospital has recently introduced the EPIC digital health record system and we are looking to use the full capabilities of this system to support the pharmacy teams and become a more efficient and truly paperless department. Main duties of the job The Job Description outlines the roles of Pharmacy Administrator, Clinical trials. You will be expected to complete a wide variety of administrational tasks including, assisting with implementation of paperwork, scanning, filing and coordinating documentation in both paper and electronic forms. You will also support dispensing all types of clinical trials prescriptions promptly and accurately as they pass through the clinical trials dispensary, ensuring that all trial protocols, standard operating procedures and current legislation are adhered to. Together with the team you will be responsible for ensuring that the trials service runs smoothly; this will include stock control, accurate record keeping and drug accountability of clinical trials, counselling patients, completing deliveries, archiving, liaising within a multi-disciplinary team and training colleagues in the dispensing of trials.
