Job summary
As a helpdesk engineer with Daffodil IT, you’ll be the go-to person for solving tricky IT problems, helping out our users with their tech woes, and making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll also team up with our awesome IT crew to keep the whole operation in top shape and stress-free. If you love a good IT challenge and can turn tech chaos into calm, we want you!
Key responsibilities
* Providing technical support and advice to end-users via phone, email or in person.
* Responding to technical issues either by phone or via a ticketing system.
* Investigating, diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues and requests.
* Installing and configuring software, hardware, and network devices.
* Maintaining and monitoring IT systems and applications to ensure their optimal performance.
* Creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as system manuals and user guides.
* Collaborating with other IT team members to identify and implement solutions to improve the IT environment.
* Participating in IT projects as required.
* Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT industry.
What kind of person we are looking for
* Proven experience working as an IT Helpdesk Engineer or similar role.
* Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components.
* Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint.
* Experience supporting VoIP systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals.
* Experience using ConnectWise Control and Manage (PSA).
* Experience creating and documenting knowledge base articles.
