I'm working with a leading social housing provider that's currently expanding its property services team. They're looking for an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to play a key role in improving living conditions for their residents and ensuring homes are safe, healthy, and well-maintained.

The Role - What You'll Be Doing:
* Conduct detailed surveys across a portfolio of social housing properties to assess issues relating to damp, mould, and condensation.
* Identify root causes - from structural issues to ventilation and lifestyle factors - and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
* Produce clear, thorough reports including photographic evidence, findings, and action plans.
* Work collaboratively with internal maintenance teams, external contractors, and residents to ensure timely and effective resolution.
* Provide residents with practical advice and guidance on preventing moisture build-up and maintaining a healthy living environment.
* Monitor the completion of remedial works, ensuring high standards and full compliance with housing regulations.
* Maintain accurate records, support trend analysis, and contribute to wider property improvement strategies.
What We're Looking For:
* Solid experience in property or building surveying, with a focus on diagnosing and managing damp and mould.
* Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, degree in Building Surveying or similar, or equivalent work experience).
* Strong knowledge of housing legislation and building regulations (e.g., HHSRS, Decent Homes Standard).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - confident engaging with residents and colleagues at all levels.
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage your own caseload efficiently.
* Competency with survey tools and reporting software.
* Full UK driving licence (role involves travel between properties).
Desirable Extras:
* Experience in the social housing sector.
* Membership with RICS, CIOB, or similar professional body.
* Knowledge of energy efficiency and its impact on property condition.
