We are proud to be working with a specialist Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Swadlincote (DE12). We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners with a range of complex and evolving needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated challenging behaviours.

- Opportunities to accompany students on educational trips.
- Work closely with educators and therapists to support students in developing communication and independence skills.
- Assist with sensory regulation and help build social relationships, enabling students to access learning in various settings - including their home, classroom, and the wider community.
- Provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of each student, undertaking any additional bespoke training required.
- Has experience supporting SEN learners - particularly those with autism and/or challenging behaviours - in a classroom or similar setting.
- Is resilient, energetic, and highly motivated to help students succeed both academically and personally.
- Can provide flexible support, including assistance with personal care where needed.
