So, if you want to experience what life is like as a Senior Associate within an extremely interesting and fast-paced Employment Department based in South Manchester, then look no further!
What will I be doing?
This is a great opportunity for you to progress your career at a nationally recognised law firm. Our team provides bespoke employment law services to private and public sector employers throughout the UK. We are highly experienced, specialist employment lawyers who work in partnership with our clients to provide strategic contentious and non-contentious advice on a broad range of employment law matters, ensuring delivery of the client’s desired outcomes on a pragmatic basis.
You will have an important role to play in both delivering a quality service to clients and assisting the head of department with business development initiatives, complex caseloads, and the smooth running of the office.
You will be involved in the conduct of all types of employment work for both employers and employees (with a focus on employers), which may be complex, potentially high value/politically sensitive, and/or of strategic importance to their business.
In addition to general employment advice to clients, you may be required to assist with training and webinars and complex investigations, affording the client the benefit of a legally trained overview and analysis arising from the facts identified by an investigation.
What do I need?
You will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 5 years or more PQE in employment law, and strong experience of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, preferably with experience of advising NHS Trusts. You will be able to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision and ideally you will have experience of overseeing junior lawyers and paralegals.
You will be able to pro-actively prioritise workload and have a strong work ethic to provide outstanding service to our clients. You will be a team player who can support colleagues in a close-knit and stable team that likes to share ideas and experience to produce excellent outcomes for our clients.
