An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Childrens Home Manager to join our client, supporting vulnerable children and young people facing behavioural and emotional challenges.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Registered Manager and 5 years in residential childcare.
As a Childrens Home Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the home's day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
You will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring the smooth operation of the home, in line with relevant regulations and best practices.
2. Leading and supervising a team, ensuring they are trained and equipped to provide excellent care.
3. Leading recruitment of residential support workers, ensuring candidates meet required qualifications.
4. Developing and implementing tailored care plans for each child in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
5. Ensuring resources are allocated effectively and within budget.
What we are looking for:
1. Previously worked for at least 1 year as a Registered Manager or in a similar role.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a residential childcare setting.
3. Background in leading residential childrens homes, overseeing staff, and managing service delivery.
4. Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
5. Knowledge of UK legislation governing residential care for children.
6. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards it.
