This full-time, temporary role offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love for literature, language, and communication. As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective lessons that help students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and strong written and verbal communication. Working within a supportive and dynamic environment, you will encourage students to achieve their full potential in English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is ideal for a motivated and passionate educator who is committed to student success and curriculum innovation. While prior experience is desirable, it is not essential, as professional development opportunities will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Teach literary analysis, creative writing, grammar, and communication skills to students. Support students in preparing for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations. Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and maximise student engagement. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualised support. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s English curriculum. Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement in line with school policies. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE/A-Level requirements. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential. Passion for engaging students through creative and innovative teaching methods. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
