An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a progressive organisation steeped in history. This is a key managerial position, best suited to someone with experience of financial and management reporting, who can also manage a small team.
The main purpose of the role is to maintain and improve financial controls, produce monthly management accounts, and support with financial planning and budgeting.
Duties:
* Management of the finance team and resolve any queries
* Produce the monthly management accounts and associated reports
* Actively contribute to the production of budgets and forecasts
* Oversee the correct preparation and submission of VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
* Support stake holders at varied levels regarding financial matters to ensure budgets and forecasts remain robust and assist in preparation of timely financial reports
* Supporting and implementing robust processes in finance operations, with a continuous improvement led culture
Skills and Experience:
* Experience is key / qualifications desirable (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA)
* Experience of financial and management reporting and budgeting
* Experience of managing a team
* Strong IT skills, including MS office products, and in particular Excel
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to prioritise work
* Personable, supportive, and able to motivate a team
Benefits:
* Salary range £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience and qualifications
