Can you help our dogs get the care and treatment they deserve? Do you want to play a role in helping us achieve excellence in our rehoming process?
We're looking for a Hydrotherapist/Physiotherapist to oversee the rehabilitation facilities at the centre. The unit has a dual purpose, to manage critical conditions from a therapeutic perspective and to serve as an environmental enrichment for longer-term residents.
We love dogs. That’s why we do whatever we can to make sure every four-legged friend gets the love they deserve. We’ll never put a healthy dog down, so our work is focused on helping dogs in need, supporting owners every step of the walk, and creating a better world for dogs in the future. It’s what we’ve been doing since 1891 and how we’ve grown to become the UK’s leading dog charity, helping 12,000 loyal friends find their forever homes every year.
As part of the Operations Directorate, you will manage the rehabilitation suite, receiving referrals from the centre team and working with colleagues from Veterinary and Behaviour teams to design and deliver exercise programmes tailored to individual patients, ensuring clinical and environmental wellbeing. This will involve providing feedback to relevant teams about patients, maintaining accurate records, and providing high standards of customer service to the public and adopters. You will also be responsible for your own self-development, keeping up to date with the latest regulations, requirements, and trends in canine hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to help us deliver the best possible care.
With relevant qualifications in canine hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and water pool management, you will have prior experience of overseeing and supervising other members of the team. An excellent communicator, you will have knowledge of dogs and their welfare requirements.
Please note, a full manual driving license is also required. Working times are Monday to Friday on a rota basis, 8am-4pm or between 8am-8pm (subject to change and will be discussed during the interview).
This role is being offered as a Fixed Term Contract, ending 30 January 2026.
Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive enough suitable interest, so to avoid disappointment, early application is encouraged.
