Titan are working with a major Freight Forwarder based in Glasgow to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team.
Role Responsibilities
* Support the Controller and the wider Accounts team to meet financial activities
* Process and enter all invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner
* Reconcile supplier statements at month end and identify and escalate any issues to the Finance Manager
* Deal with all day to day accounts payable matters/queries
* Provide accurate financial support, particularly with regards to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal bodies
* Ensure spending is kept in line with the assigned budget
* Prepare period financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, cash flow, variance analysis and commentaries
* Other general duties and ad-hoc tasks as required
Skills
* Previous experience working within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger environment is essential
* Experience of processing high volume invoices
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
* Strong organisational skills
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, offering a salary up to £26,000.
