Your role
Our administrative teams are the core of our National Business Centres (NBCs), delivering great customer service to enable Justice. Our teams work across a variety of jurisdictions and get the chance to shape and continuously improve the way we operate. Typical roles include data entry of paper and digital work, telephony, customer complaints and correspondence. We empower our staff to be the voice of our customers, giving them opportunity to make changes that matter to our users.
You will deal with enquiries from service users via post, email and telephone. Types of County Court Claims we deal with include credit card / loan / hire purchase debt, and parking / moving traffic contraventions.
Your skills and experience
- Friendly and approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skill
- IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.
- Excellent organisational skills

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Non-contractual hybrid working may be available within our telephony teams. Hybrid working arrangements will be determined by the business and will only be available when it has been established that delivering the service from home can be done effectively. We cannot facilitate requests for a particular work from home/working in the office schedule.
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy. Please note the role will require a minimum of 24 hours per week, this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis and will need to be agreed by the business.

For this post, occasional travel to other National Services sites may be required.
