Senior Engineer (Human Factors Nuclear Safety Case)

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specialising in Human Factors to support nuclear safety case development and review. The role is remote, with occasional visits to the client site in Devonport (approximately two days per month). Starting ASAP, this position will require the candidate to work 37.5 hours per week at a competitive charge rate. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Human Factors assessments with minimal supervision, substantiating operator safety claims, and contributing to the nuclear safety case process. This is a contingent worker role under the Loan of Personnel category, requiring active Security Clearance [B].
Skills:
Relevant qualification in Human Factors
5+ years of experience applying Human Factors in an engineering context
3+ years of experience in human reliability assessment, including human error identification and error analysis
Expertise in qualitative and quantitative error analysis
Ability to substantiate operator safety claims
Experience supporting nuclear safety case development/review
Ability to deliver Human Factors assessments independently
Teamworking skills, especially in HF and safety case delivery teams
Desirable: Chartered membership of CIEHF
