Position: Professional Family Support Worker
Client Details: Sarah, 8, and Ben, 14. Ben has a diagnosis of ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Their mum is a wheelchair user.
Wage/Salary: £18.00 Gross per hour (£20.00 gross for any weekends worked)
Driver Essential: Yes, with own car. Business insurance and mileage paid when used on duty. The family will be getting a Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV) soon.
Essential Qualifications: Experienced supporting children on the autistic spectrum, dog lover. Non-smoker/Vaper. Female applicants only.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Term-Time, Monday to Friday: Shifts are either 7.00am to 2.00pm or 2.00pm to 8.00pm. School Holidays: 8.00am to 8.00pm, to be worked as a job share with one other Support Worker. All shift patterns to be mutually agreed.
Family/Client Pets: A very friendly, small Cockapoo (who is very much part of the family!)
Overview of Role: Responsibilities include helping the children get ready for school and driving them there, household tasks such as tidying and laundry, supervising homework, preparing dinner, and assisting with bedtime. During school holidays, you will organize engaging activities. The role is a job share with one other person, with all hours and shifts agreed mutually.
