Job Description:
You’ll work with the team to deliver high quality support and accommodation to people fleeing domestic abuse, including their children. You will be the first point of contact for external enquiries, referrals, admissions and to the residents residing in the refuge accommodation. This may include offering housing related support to some of our customers in community accommodation.
Job requirements
1. Ensure customers feel welcome when they first move in and they are fully aware of the support they can access as well as their responsibilities within the accommodation.
2. Provide customer-focused practical and emotional support.
3. Manage referrals, carry out any necessary risk assessments and assign accommodation based on customer needs.
4. Maintain customer focused safety plans and risk management plans to keep the customer and their family safe, all while keeping accurate records.
5. Be the first point of contact at refuge and respond to any issues or emergencies in both the refuge setting and within the community to support customers.
6. Assess any risk or safeguarding issues and respond appropriately, making sure that incidents are recorded appropriately.
7. Support the team to meet void targets by turning rooms around ready for new customers to move in.
What we’re looking for
1. A good standard of education, for example GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
2. Good ICT skills and familiar with Microsoft Office.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Able to risk assess and support people with complex needs.
5. Experience of handling personal data, working in line with GDPR.
6. A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships. You’ll be their voice so you’ll need great communication skills to provide them with the best support to keep them safe.

8. Able to work independently and remotely, being self-motivated with great time management. You’ll be able to meet deadlines and make and keep clear factual recordings of information.
9. This is a community-based role so you will need a vehicle suitable for business use and a full UK driving licence.
Be a catalyst for change and help us impact the way our region addresses abusive relationships.
