Job Title : Asset Manager – Solar Operations & Maintenance

About the Role :
As the Asset Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance, operation, and compliance of the large-scale Solar Farm. You will ensure safe and efficient operations while meeting financial, technical, and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve managing service agreements, resolving technical and commercial challenges, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders including landowners, communities, regulators, and suppliers.
This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in renewable energy asset management, particularly in utility-scale solar PV, who is committed to supporting our company’s renewable energy goals and ambitions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Performance Management : Achieve asset performance targets by managing budgets, O&M contracts, and operational workflows.
2. Conduct daily performance monitoring, coordinate with O&M contractors, and ensure swift resolution of issues.
3. Provide detailed analysis of operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
4. Reporting & Compliance : Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on WHS, performance metrics, financial outcomes, and regulatory compliance to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Ensure full compliance with the National Electricity Rules (NER) and other statutory obligations.
6. Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, landholders, community representatives, and regulatory authorities.
7. Act as the primary point of contact for allocated assets, addressing stakeholder concerns promptly and professionally.
8. Contract Management : Manage and review service agreements, warranties, and maintenance contracts to ensure high performance and cost-effectiveness.
9. Support tendering, negotiation, and renewal processes for critical agreements.
10. Technical Oversight : Address complex technical issues and implement root cause analysis to resolve operational challenges.
11. Oversee the operation and maintenance of key systems, including solar PV inverters, SCADA, HV AC / DC networks, and transformers.
12. Strategic Asset Planning : Contribute to asset lifecycle planning by balancing reliability-focused maintenance with cost control.
13. Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, technical) to align asset strategies with organizational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience :
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience in renewable energy asset management, preferably with utility-scale solar or wind assets.
* Proven ability to manage complex service agreements and ensure contractor performance.
* Solid understanding of Australian electricity regulations, including NER compliance.
* Technical expertise in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, HV infrastructure, SCADA systems).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive performance improvements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
