To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete assessments, develop and implement person-centered treatment plans, facilitate group and 1:1 work, facilitate graded exposure, educate on coping strategies, complete community signposting, and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings.
2. Work alongside an occupational therapy assistant and may be required to provide supervision to occupational therapy staff.
3. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrists, and a specialty doctor, with a large part of the role involving autonomous working.
4. Utilize your occupational therapy skills to complete thorough risk assessments and use evidence-based practice to guide your therapeutic interventions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Strong personal organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
2. Experience working in secure and/or acute environments.
3. Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
4. A can-do attitude.
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of up to GBP36,000 pro rata. This exciting position is a part-time role working 18.75 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
