About the role
We are on the lookout for an Associate Analyst to join our F&F Home and Clothing team within Central Merchandising. You will work to provide analytics, tools, applications and processes to improve the operational efficiencies on a range of business critical activities and play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of the business. You will support the merchandising, buying and store teams through the implementation of tools and analytics to enhance ways of working across Home and Clothing. You will always be looking for opportunities to improve the current state of affairs to make things better and simpler.
You will be responsible for
* Developing analytics to answer questions posed by the business and provide recommendations based upon data analysis.
* Optimising and managing existing in-house analytics and data processes that enable the Home & Clothing product teams to understand and make informed data driven decisions.
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes and develop/enhance processes through the development of new ad-hoc analytics, regular reporting or tools.
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve business performance measures and KPI visualisation.
* Working with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and that implemented solutions meet their requirements.
* Championing a self-service analytics approach through automation, education, and training - building capability within the team by sharing best practices & working with experts across the business.
You will need
* Data-driven mind-set with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Skills in deriving insight from data and identifying new visualisations to show this.
* Attention to detail and methodical approach to work. Knowledge of databases and how data is structured.
* Fluent in MS Office suite (knowledge of VBA preferred, but not essential).
* Basic SQL coding (at a minimum).
* Data visualisation tools particularly Tableau (preferred, but not essential).
