About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to oversee a group of supported living services in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of support staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our service users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supported living services
2. Lead and manage a team of support staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation
4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and external stakeholders
5. Monitor and review service delivery to ensure it meets the needs and preferences of service users
6. Develop and maintain care plans and risk assessments for service users
7. Manage and monitor budgets and resources effectively
8. Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care
9. Participate in recruitment, training, and development of staff
10. Handle any complaints or incidents in a timely and effective manner
11. Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within the social care sector
2. NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
3. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
4. Experience in managing services for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
5. Strong leadership and people management skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
8. Good IT skills and knowledge of care management systems
9. Passionate about delivering high-quality care and support services
