We are developing leaders, the best in the business, and it all starts with this role. So what will you be doing at Kukoon: Our culture is a little bit different. We have grown a family business into an industry leading company, but we are far from corporate. Talent Acquisition - We are one of the top 5 Ecommerce companies in all of Ireland, so we want to hire the best. We want people who are humble and curious, people who want to learn and grow and be bought into the bigger picture. We aren’t set on the means to achieve this. We need to think outside the box to attract the best. Ensures we have a full pipeline of prospective talent, by working with recruitment agencies and our internal marketing team. Create an interview strategy for all roles within the business, ensuring we are raising the bar when it comes to hiring. Onboard our new hires like they are tribe members for life. Training & Development - We have phenomenal people who need guidance in becoming world class leaders. We focus on people’s strengths, not their weaknesses, and develop customised training to suit the needs of our company. Build and present world class training courses including: Presenting with Impact Leadership training for new managers Leading 2 Second Lean Kaizens Advanced interview training for all members of a hiring panel. Create a long term management training program that brings our leaders up to world class standards. Performance Management - We love to have a bit of craic, but we didn’t get to where we are now without some excellent performance. We hold the entire company to a high standard as we revolutionise our industry. We must ensure our managers are trained to lead & facilitate high performing teams. Create and manage all Annual Performance Reviews companywide. Ensuring employees and managers are given appropriate and healthy feedback with a plan going forward. Help and guide managers through the performance improvement process - ensuring all teams are operating at maximum potential. Handle all employee relation cases, ensuring the process is fair and consistent. The point person for all safety and employee relation legal matters. Resource Planning - Things move fast at Kukoon and the weeks are never boring. We have to plan for our future, plan for our people to be promoted and plan to always have a stable team in place. Create a succession plan for every role and person within the business. Work with the management team to put in development plans for all top performers within the company. In collaboration with the directors, provide key data and metrics on all prospective new hires. Culture & Values - Our culture isn’t stagnant. It constantly evolves like the world around us. We must be agile and adapt with it. Our values are so important to us, and should be how our people think and make decisions. We not only need a Values champion in this role, but someone to train others to champion them as well. Create and design value-led programs that helps employees live out the values on a day-to-day basis. Have a regular touchpoint with every department and understand the evolving department dynamics. Measure employee happiness through surveys and create action plans to remedy any issues. The Other Stuff - People are the most important part of our business, so while there are large strategic projects, we have to get the other details right as well. Reward and compensation analysis Clear KPI’s for each team member so that they know what good looks like and have goals in place to achieve them What you bring to the table: A Degree in HR or equivalent. CIPD qualification preferred. A strategic level thought process, who thinks about the business as a whole, and how each decision will impact each person in the various different departments. You think big and move fast. Choices need to be made, better to move fast, than hesitate and be stuck in limbo. We value risk taking, as you can’t be a pioneer, without taking a few leaps. The ability to communicate at all levels. You are able to relate and get the best out of people, no matter if they work in the warehouse or they are part of the SMT. You are deadline driven and competitive. Tangible results are not always easy to calculate when it comes to People, but you are deeply passionate about how the company progresses. Like Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart said “I know it, when I see it”. You challenge people with respect - not every idea is going to work. It is your job to ensure people’s voices are heard and valued, but you must guide people down the right path. What do we offer in return?
