ELECTRICAL SITE TECHNICIAN

DCT Recruitment are seeking for an experienced Electrical site technician to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
Responsibilities:
Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and regulations.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical installations.
Execute electrical wiring for lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
Ensure that all wiring meets safety standards and local regulations.
Conduct tests on electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Diagnose and rectify any electrical faults and issues in a timely manner using testing equipment to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and maintenance logs.
Complete necessary documentation for compliance with health and safety regulations.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
Ensure that electrical work complies with the latest wiring regulations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
Participate in site meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues.
Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3).
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.
Certification in inspection and testing (e.g., City & Guilds 2391) is beneficial.
Relevant work experience in electrical installations, maintenance, or construction (typically 2-5 years).
Experience working on construction sites and familiarity with site safety protocols.
Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
ECS Card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) or equivalent.
