Job summary We are seeking some bank housekeepers/hostesses to work on our community ward in Brentwood where we specialise in stroke rehabilitation. The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective catering, cleaning and housekeeping service according to all organisational policies and procedures to always ensure the highest standards of service. The available shifts are 07:00-15:00, and 16:00-19:00. Main duties of the job To prepare meals and snacks with the kitchen team according to patient's dietary requirements and liaise with nursing staff surrounding any changes to patient's diets. Having an understanding or awareness of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is preferred. To oversee housekeeping duties in partnership with the supervisor and as detailed in the Provide Cleaning Guidelines. Monitoring and ordering stock and storing appropriately for the patient kitchen. To have an understanding of protocols, organisational policies and departmental procedures and adhere to them. To ensure that the health and wellbeing of patients is at the centre of all activities and that all staff engage and communicate with patients as appropriate.
