Product Lifecycle Manager
Location: this is a hybrid role which will allow you to split your time between home and our Hebburn office. The position also requires occasional travel globally.
The role of the Product Lifecycle Manager will require you to technically and commercially position product and communicate related information via webinars, videos, relevant sales media, and customer meetings globally. This will involve effectively leading the product, including strategy, customer and market requirements, roadmap, and business planning.
The Product Lifecycle Manager will also be responsible for target costing, product pricing, Wall 2 Wall profitability and quantity planning, and initiating and supporting go-to-market (G2M) activities.
You’ll create impact by:
* Implementing market segmentation (including countries and sales channels), including competitor analysis and price analysis.
* Analyzing and closing product gaps based on market-driven requirements.
* Monitoring the business performance during the product lifecycle.
* Supporting quality issues.
* Defining product marketing and communication strategies (product, price, placement, promotion).
* Driving the business performance of the product over the whole product lifecycle in partnership with all partners over the whole process chain.
* Contributing to activities to continuously improve product lifecycle management.
* Leading component availability in coordination between factories and R&D.
* Defining product phase-out strategy.
You excel in:
* Working within a multi-discipline team and liaising with other teams.
* Having a technical understanding of power systems and the application of protection and control equipment in the electrical industry. Preference given to experience with Reyrolle products but not essential.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to travel globally e.g. to the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, India, the Far East, and the Americas (sometimes at short notice).
* Communicating and building relationships globally across many cultures.
* A HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering plus relevant experience, or equivalent.
