Estimator - Reputable Flooring Contractor - Enfield

Currently, a well-established specialist flooring contractor is on the lookout for an Estimator to join their highly skilled team. With their head office based in Enfield, the majority of their projects tend to be located in the London area. They have been established for over 20 years, specialising in high-quality flooring & wall installations in all aspects of the commercial and new build sectors.
Their projects range anywhere from £10,000 - £2m in value, including tiling, ceramics, porcelain, and natural stone tiles for a wide variety of projects such as health clubs, restaurants, hotels, and corporate office spaces in London and its surrounding areas.
Estimator Responsibilities:
1. The estimator is responsible for the commercial aspects of all Live Projects and should work in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures. Their job roles and responsibilities are as follows:
2. Provide support and guidance to the Commercial Team.
3. Continuous communication with the Main Contractor.
4. Ensure all projects run as smoothly as possible.
5. Complete relevant checks on quantities to ensure all scope is covered and ensure all agreed rates include the agreed scope of works.
6. Complete monthly valuations.
7. Provide any substantiation to variations/valuations.
8. Monitor project finances and ensure budgets are not exceeded.
Estimator Requirements:
1. Have a strong background in the sub-contracting industry such as tiling, flooring, drylining, carpentry, joinery, etc.
2. Have at least 3 years of experience as an estimator.
3. Must be able to review JCT contracts & understand clauses.
4. Promptly identify, prevent, and when appropriate, successfully resolve business-related problems, including those arising from noncompliance with any of the business systems.
5. Be able to identify opportunities for improvement, particularly measurable improvement, in all areas of the business, including quality, business, and environmental issues.
Estimator Salary:
They are offering a salary package of up to £60k, which will depend on the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
