Sunday Treat is looking for a talented, driven and ambitious videographer to join its growing team. We produce and make video content for social, online and broadcast for a wealth of clients across consumer and business facing brands. Our projects range from small scale virtual set-ups to full-scale narrative television commercials and everything in between.
In the past year we’ve produced launch content for brand new Canon cameras, produced B2B content for Google and LinkedIn, influencer-led work for brands like Revolut & Gousto and VOD broadcast commercials for online, Sky and ITVX.
We find the fun, injecting elements of humour and candour into every project we do both in terms of final output and the process of getting there.
About You
We’re looking for a technically skilled and highly organised videographer with a passion for visual storytelling and the ability to lead on shoots with confidence. You should have a strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and shoot logistics, alongside the ability to work independently when needed. A keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of your role on set are essential.
Experience in the video production industry, either freelance or in-house, for at least five years is required. You should be confident working across all aspects of production, from operating cameras and lighting to overseeing on-set logistics and ensuring smooth technical workflows.
This role is hands-on, requiring you to take charge of shoot execution, lead lighting setups, and manage equipment. You’ll be expected to drive the Sunday Treat van, oversee gear maintenance, and take responsibility for DIT processes to ensure all footage is securely managed. While you will always be part of a well-supported team, there will be occasional solo jobs where you will need to take ownership of shot-listing, lighting, and execution. On larger productions, you will collaborate closely with the team, ensuring a smooth workflow. You will also take on minor production tasks under the producer and creative director, as well as attend recces.
Sunday Treat’s work spans a broad range of projects, from small-scale social content to large-scale commercial productions. The right candidate will thrive in this varied environment and be comfortable adapting to different production scales. While most shoots are London-based, the role also includes UK-wide and international travel when required.
We have a workspace in Paddington, London, which you would be required to work from twice a week, with the remaining time spent either home working or on shoots. Office days change depending on the needs of our productions, so flexibility is required. Ideally, applicants would be within commuting distance of London.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead on the technical execution of shoots, including camera operation, lighting, and on-set logistics.
2. Oversee and manage DIT workflows to ensure footage is correctly handled and backed up.
3. Work closely with freelancers, taking the lead on directing camera and lighting teams as required.
4. Be responsible for driving the Sunday Treat van and maintaining all equipment.
5. Take on minor production tasks, attend recces, and support producers and directors in pre-production planning.
6. Confidently represent Sunday Treat on set when working independently, ensuring a high standard of professionalism in client-facing situations.
7. Occasionally assist with basic post-production tasks, such as editing previs and selects during downtime.
8. Maintain an organised approach to file management, shoot logistics, and equipment upkeep.
ESSENTIAL
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the video production industry, either freelance or in-house.
2. Strong technical knowledge of Sony camera systems and Aputure lighting.
3. Proven ability to lead shoots and manage technical aspects independently.
4. Experience handling on-set logistics and troubleshooting technical issues.
5. Full, clean UK driving licence and confidence in driving a van.
6. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage DIT processes effectively.
7. Ability to be flexible and adapt to the varied demands of different projects.
8. Be a proactive problem solver with an eye for detail and strong communication skills.
9. Confidence working in client-facing situations when required.
10. Ability to work across Google Workspace, Slack, Monday.com and the full Adobe Suite.
11. Live within commuting distance of Paddington, London.
DESIRABLE
1. Experience with additional production tools such as drones or stabilisers.
2. Previous experience in a client-facing or leadership role on set.
3. A network of freelancer contacts to bring to the team.
4. Interest in photography and content creation for behind-the-scenes and company social media.

Stage 1

Stage 2
We ask applicants to come to the Sunday Treat offices for an in-person interview and prepare for an interview task ahead of the interview. You will be asked to put together and present a 10 minute presentation on the logistics and approach for a fictional shoot, including very brief concept, shooting and lighting style.
