Grace's Bakery is looking for an organised and friendly Shop Manager to join our small team in Grace's Bakery Yarmouth. If you enjoy customer-facing roles and working on your feet, then this could be the role for you!
Job Role:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Yarmouth store and overseeing a small team.
2. Opening and closing the shop.
3. Key holding.
4. Cash handling including cashing up and change ordering.
5. Ordering and stock rotation.
6. Serving customers.
7. Using an espresso machine to make hot drinks.
8. Preparing and serving food.
9. Supporting the team to deliver excellent customer service.
10. Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and maintaining a 5-star hygiene rating.
11. Rota planning.
12. Responding to and acting on absence notifications, including participating in absence management procedures.
13. Role modelling the expectations set out in the company handbook.
14. Liaising with HR to maintain a high standard of performance and conduct.
15. Flexibility to support at other stores where needed.
We're looking for someone who:
1. Has previous experience in a management position.
2. Is comfortable working on their feet in customer-facing roles.
3. Is confident when leading teams, motivating staff, and solving problems on the spot.
4. Is resilient to change and problem solving, maintaining a positive approach.
5. Has experience in a food or retail environment.
6. Is organised and has an eye for detail.
7. Is reliable and enthusiastic.
Hours, Pay and Training:
1. 30 - 48 Hours a week.
2. Minimum of 4 days per week, maximum of 6 days per week when required for sickness and holiday cover.
3. Mondays to Saturdays.
4. 7.30 am – 4.15 pm (with potential to finish at 6 pm if covering at our Newport branch).
5. £12.45 per hour.
