About ZAVA
We're on a mission to provide our patients with accessible and dependable healthcare at a fraction of today's cost. Our team of Doctors, Engineers, Customer Support Advisors, Marketers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Pharmacists, and Commercial and Operations Specialists works collaboratively to develop and maintain a digital healthcare platform that suits our patients' needs and schedules.
The pandemic changed our lives, requiring us to find flexible, remote and innovative healthcare solutions to meet our needs during challenging and changeable periods. Many of our patients turned to telemedicine as a convenient solution to getting their healthcare online from the comfort of their homes. By delivering a safe and efficient digital healthcare service, we've provided over 12 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, and Ireland, enabling millions of people to have essential access to healthcare when they need it most.
It's our motivation to continue fulfilling their needs and to expand further to meet the needs of others, ensuring we're always there with the latest tech, treatments and advice. We're doing more than providing healthcare, we're enabling and empowering people by making healthcare work for them. We’re here because we care about healthcare, and we plan to be the largest digital primary healthcare platform for people across Europe.
About the role
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist Contractor to support our marketing efforts targeting Italian-speaking audiences.
You’ll play a key role in developing and executing marketing initiatives, ensuring our messaging resonates with Italian patients, and refining our unique value propositions (USPs). A strong background in content, localisation, digital marketing, market research, and project management is essential.
You will work closely with the Head of Expansion, contributing to market research and building the locale to establish a strong foundation for ZAVA’s presence among Italian-speaking patients. Additionally, you will collaborate with the wider marketing, content, and SEO teams, ensuring that our Italian-language content is compelling, compliant, and optimised for performance. While you may work with freelancers for certain tasks, you will be hands-on with content creation, ensuring high-quality output that meets our brand standards.
Key Accountabilities:
* Market Research & Localisation: Support the Head of Expansion by conducting research on market trends, patient insights, regulatory requirements, and competitor activity to shape ZAVA’s approach in the Italian-speaking market.
* Building the Locale: Assist in defining and implementing localisation strategies to ensure ZAVA’s offering meets the expectations and needs of Italian-speaking patients.
* Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute localised marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and patient acquisition.
* Unique Value Propositions (USPs): Research and refine our USPs for Italian-speaking patients, ensuring they align with patient needs and competitive positioning.
* Content Creation & Localisation: Write, adapt, and edit website copy, marketing materials, and campaign content to ensure they are engaging, clear, and culturally relevant.
* SEO & Performance Marketing: Work alongside our organic and paid teams to optimise content and marketing campaigns for Italian-speaking audiences.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and occasionally manage freelance content creators to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all materials.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all marketing and content adhere to relevant healthcare advertising regulations.
We would love you to have the following:
Technical skills & experience:
* 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or localisation, ideally in healthcare, pharma, or a regulated industry.
* Strong knowledge of marketing strategies, content localisation, and patient engagement.
* Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple marketing and content projects, managing priorities and deadlines efficiently.
* Understanding of SEO best practices, digital marketing tools, and familiarity with content management systems.
* Experience working with and managing freelance content creators to ensure high-quality output.
* Native level Italian and fluency in English.
Nice to have, but not at all essential:
* Experience in the healthcare industry, or a tech company.
Personal qualities
* Can work as part of a team.
* Ability to adhere to regulations and policies.
* Ability to follow tasks through to completion.
* Desire to want to help patients - caring and empathetic.
* Strong initiative.
* Humble: you listen and take on feedback, and you are kind and caring to those around you.
* Inquisitive: you question the status quo and dare to do things differently.
* Resilient: you embrace change and face challenges.
* Macher: you are innovative and rise to the occasion to build things that make a difference.
* Collaborative: you work well as part of a team, supporting and being kind to others.
We are working hard to try and level the playing field wherever we can. We know from research that men are happy to apply for positions where they fit just 60% of the requirements, whereas women and underrepresented groups often will not apply unless they feel they are a super close match. If you don't think you meet all the requirements that you see above, we absolutely encourage you to apply and tell us what we can do to give you your best shot - if you want. We know that talent is everywhere, and as much as nice CVs are nice, they are often not a proxy for the best person for the job. Please note: Certain positions will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
