The Role
You would join an existing multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive range of mental health services for older adults. The post is primarily community-based, although it does encompass responsibility for patients in the in-patient facilities for Dementia Care and Functional Illnesses. The post is accredited with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and you will have an opportunity to participate in our active training programme. There are opportunities for research and the development of sub-speciality interests.
Candidates must hold MRC Psych or equivalent higher qualification and must also be fully registered and licensed to practice on the GMC Specialist Register (for Old Age Psychiatry or General Psychiatry) or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview. Candidates should also be an Approved Medical Practitioner or willing to gain approval once in post.
